We are a theatre school for ages 3-17, located in Orange County. Our classes focus on acting, musical movement, and stage presence. We want to encourage and train our students to connect their body and soul while strengthening their performance skills. We believe through theatre and music that everyone, regardless of ability, can build self-esteem, make valued friendships, and learn to use their emotions and bodies to express themselves in a fun and healthy environment.
Education in theatre provides children with essential life skills such as public speaking, creativity, and problem solving. These skills will help our children be successful in all aspects of their lives.
"I regard the theatre as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a Human Being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a Human Being."– Oscar Wilde
Staff of Serendipity Theatre School
Jen Holmstrom grew up in Huntington Beach and is a wife and mother of two little girls. She was 4 years old when she first performed in a stage production and she fell in love with the theatre. Jen was also able to gain some experience as a child actor in commercial and television work. Since then, she has continued to perform in community musicals and theatrical productions. She has 15 years of experience in dance and choreography. She has toured with Axxiom Hip Hop Crew in San Diego County and she has been a member of the Atomic Cherry Bombs, an all female dance troupe specializing in vintage jazz dances. Jen was a preschool teacher for 8 years and loves working with children.
Chelsea has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts Studies from Brigham Young University. She has 20 years of experience in theatre and has performed in over 30 shows in San Diego, Utah and the Bay Area. She has received multiple acting awards, taught acting classes/ camps and has been involved in commercial and print work. She most recently directed Crimes of the Heart at the Vallejo Music Theatre and received over 10 nominations from the Bay Area ARTY awards. At a very young age she decided she would one day open a theatre school and inspire other young spirits to love the stage. When Chelsea is not at the theatre, she is busily involved with her two-year-old and 6-month-old girls and helping them to also love the arts!
